The 2020 NFPA 70 Online National Electrical Code (NEC) Lecture Series is an online training program designed to help electricians — both journeyman and master level — prepare for their licensing exams and improve skill in interpreting the 2020 edition of the NEC. The program includes lecture videos on topics such as basic electrical formulas (including power and “pie” circle formulas), branch-circuit sizing and protection, conductor ampacity and insulation ratings, appliance demand loads, box and raceway sizing, voltage-drop calculations, and commercial load calculations. It applies to all 50 states and is suitable for candidates examining code-based exams or seeking code mastery. The 2020 edition of NFPA 70 introduces updates for exterior emergency disconnects in one- and two-family dwellings, revisions to service-disconnect rules, and new requirements adapting to modern technologies such as power-over-Ethernet and alternative energy systems.
